Cyborgs are fusions of biological creatures with mechanical or electronic parts and components. The amount of biological matter to technological components can vary wildly. Some cyborgs consist simply of an organic brain in a robotic body, which often leads to confusion between cyborg and robot. Others may be mostly biological, yet have 'implants' that supplement or replace organs, muscle groups, neural bundles, skeletal structure, and so forth. The Freakshow are a prime example of cyborgs in the CoH/V universe, as are Arachnos Tarantulas and Crab Spiders.

Most cyborgs cannot remove or replace their tech components without major surgery.
