Early Career

Tommy was picked up as an informant for Superpowered Activities Monitoring division under the FBSA to assist with data collection and threat assessment at a very young age. His ability to manipulate time can be enhanced temporarily to see short distances into the future making it possible to detect growing threats to humanity and the world, making him an asset to their division. To Tommy’s dismay he is not often tasked with missions outside of the FBSA offices and labs. He grew up thinking his powers were going to help the world, and as much as they do, he doesn’t get the field action he had hoped for.

Through his years as a data analyst he assisted in many high profile cases, helping predict possible outcomes and identifying domestic threats. To the Superhero community he was something of a young oracle, preventing extinction level events and solving cold cases, he was a Hero to many.

Tommy frequently asked for a department transfer, he wanted to be able to work in the field and help fight crime on the front lines. He idolized Heroes who were in the spotlight fighting crime or saving the day, it is what he had always envisioned for himself. The FBSA and S.A.M. however deemed his powers more appropriate for data collection and research opportunities. Adding to Tommy's discontent working under S.A.M. the conditions in which enhanced Tommy's powers to work at the level the department needed was physically painful and exhausting work, which is a majr contributing factor to why he wanted to be reassigned.

The Incident

On November 21st last year Tommy officially fell from grace, on this day he was convicted of First-Degree Arson Resulting in Injury, 4 counts of Second-Degree Manslaughter, and a slew of lesser crimes regarding his involvement in a fire and the ensuing explosion his powers ignited at a chemical factory in Kings Row that left 4 dead, and more than 2 dozen injured. He decided to join a group of other Heroes unannounced during a superdyne raid and his radiation emission ate through a metal tank filled with one of the drugs massively flammable ingredients. The incredible explosion was broadcast live as the world watched, the resulting shockwave breaking windows even 10 miles away. The hardest part of the ordeal was the loss of one of Paragons beloved Super-powered Starlets ‘Madison Loud’, sending shockwaves of grief through the Superhero community.

Tommy maintained that it was an accident and he never meant to hurt anyone, it was obvious to everyone it was unintentional as he was unrelentingly remorseful, he immediately sought counseling and was never seen with a smile since. He had been fully cooperative with the investigation and turned himself in immediately where he was later released under government supervision pending trial. As a data analyst for Superpowered Activities Monitoring (SAM) division under the FBSA he was never supposed to be in the field. His powers were determined to be most useful in data collection versus field work and was stationed as such. Tommy had repeatedly requested to get transferred into a field position, even his superiors recognize the behavior as an over-zealous rookie. Even though the families closest to those lost had publicly forgiven him the city was not so merciful.

Tommy expected ramifications but was not prepared for the sentence that was bestowed upon him. He received 1 life sentence and 45 years and they seized his estate and assets to pay the millions of dollars of restitution, court fees, and criminal penalties.

After sentencing Tommy did the unthinkable and attempted to escape the court room, with his full cooperation up to this point everyone was in total shock and awe watching live as he violently broke through the restraints and a court room officer discharged her gun shooting Tommy in the shoulder. To the horror of everyone watching he erupted in a bright green radioactive explosion incinerating the entire floor of the courthouse and everyone in it.

Tommy was last seen bursting through a window shortly before the building collapsed, carrying someone as he fled. It is assumed that he fled to the Isles somewhere and has been hiding out ever since, the mystery person he carried out send the media into a frenzy where the speculation is discussed even today. Several task forces have been launched in search of Tommy, working many leads coming from the Isles where people say he was spotted.

Some political groups used the footage from both incidents to push an anti-hero agenda, spreading it as propaganda that incited protests and riots. The hero community condemns the actions Tommy took in the courthouse, calling him callous and a menace. Heroes in any division of the FBSA would recognize Tommy and what he did, those in SAM would have known him personally before the incident and would’ve described him as a wonderful person and incapable of such violence before having witnessing it with the world.

Tommy would be a sore subject for any hero to discuss and they would probably hold extreme animosity towards him.
