Joey Hardkore is a professional wrestler-themed vigilante operating primarily out of Brickstown.

Background

Joey Hardkore, born Joann Harmon, grew up in foster home after foster home in Detroit, MI. Though she was seen as a bit of a troublemaker by the foster care system, the fights she found herself getting into were nearly always due to standing up to bullies. Around the start of her teenage years, she would eventually wind up staying with her only surviving blood-relative, her aunt Stephanie Wilcox. Once she was old enough to get her learner's permit, she took up whatever odd jobs she could find in order to pay for wrestling training, and to help her aunt with the constantly piling-up bills.

Joey would eventually see an ad in the newspaper for Sievert Labs needing volunteer test subjects. Little did she know, taking this opportunity would change her life forever.

Sievert Labs, a subdivision of Crey Industries

Now in her early 20's, Joey stood at 6'0", had long brown hair, and a respectfully athletic build. Upon entering the doors of Sievert Labs, Joey would be introduced to the Pathologist, Dr. Scottley Sievert. Dr. Sievert was a lithe, creepy old man with wiry, white hair, an inch-long stringy, white beard, and pale grey eyes. Reluctant as she was, she really needed the money they were offering, so she signed some paperwork and followed the scientists to the chamber she would spend the next year and a half. Agonizing, yet miniscule bursts of gamma radiation would be put through Joey's body for 18 months, transforming her into an 8'2", green-haired, muscle-bound beast of rage. There were other side-effects, such as gaining the ability to absorb and release radiation at-will, and a couple others that she preferred to keep private. She eventually broke free from the facility, punching through the 3ft. thick steel walls that made her torturous home.

Life As A Giant

Joey would soon find herself leaving Detroit for Paragon City, the "City of Heroes", as she needed help controlling her newfound abilities. Making her way to Atlas Park, she'd meet up with a ragtag group of fledgling heroes and vigilantes who'd help her learn the ropes. Over the next few years, she'd get better at harnessing and refining her skills, eventually catching the eye of a few dozen ladies, as well as Portal Corps.
