History
Dr. Morrow is a replicant, a fully bio-engineered human, designed to be superior in every regard. She is faster, stronger, more intelligent and has perfectly symmetrical facial features which makes her aesthetically pleasing to look at, even on a wholly platonic level. She was created for an undisclosed private customer situated in Paragon City by the German pharmaceutical and bio-engineering corporation Herzhaus GmbH. While she has technically only existed for a short time, she was brought into this world in a fully adult body and possesses both emotional and intellectual maturity that surpasses that of many conventionally born humans thrice her age. She managed to get her PhD in biology, psychology and medicine within only two years of her creation. She has been operating as a hero under the moniker Miss Medica since mid 2020.
Currently
It is still unknown who financed the creation of Dr. Morrow as she herself is tight lipped about the subject. It is clear though that whoever did so, is also financing her equipment which she uses in her crime fighting activities. When not working as a hero she is offering her knowledge as a freelance Bio-Engineer, having worked with SERAPH, GIFT and to controversial backlash from some of her fans, Crey Industries. In early 2021 an anonymous whistle blower leaked documents from the internal server of the Herzhaus GmbH, which among many other sensitive information, included their file on Dr. Morrow, revealing that her original designation was F-C #24, the letters indicating gender and complexion and the number being an identification within this category, which among other documents exposed by the same leak indicated that the corporation was producing much more replicants than they were allowed to according to German federal legislation. The result of this was a 200 million Euro fine and the government announcing stricter and more frequent inspections.
On Replicants
Replicants are, aside from the fact that they are 'born' in adult bodies, mature extremely fast and are generally superior to conventional humans remarkably normal. One would never suspect talking to one in a casual conversation. In fact, unless one takes a look at the inside of their bottom lip and finds their designation there, it is impossible to tell the difference. Unless of course a closer medical examination is done, for the skin, muscle and bone density of a replicant is far higher than that of a normal human. On top of that, an MRI will reveal brain activity that can only be found in normal humans with genius level intellect. Replicants also need to eat a fair bit more though in exchange only require two hours of sleep per night.
They are inherently designed to obey the individual, government or company which owns them without question. There is only about a hundred officially registered replicants currently active all over the globe, given that their production is not only incredibly expensive but also prone to failure, newly created replicants often times inexplicably losing control over their bodies or developing serious mental issues.
There is some outcry from human rights organisations to stop production of replicants and give the existing ones full rights and citizenships, though given the amount of aliens, interdimensional beings and other crazy things that wander earth these days, little attention and consideration is given to these voices.
