Miss Yu is the name used by two related heroines of Paragon City.

Miss Yu I

History

Born Yu Zhen in New York's Chinatown in 1960, Evelyn Yu was the only child of Chinese immigrants who fled China's civil war in 1949. A free-spirited and willful child, she learned to fend for herself from a young age.

She joined W.A.T.C.H. in 1976 after helping them "unofficially" on a few cases. There she met her future husband, William "Bill" Mitchell, aka the hero Cooperstown. They were wed on December 21th, 1978.

She retired from crime-fighting in 1985 after apparently suffering a miscarriage, only to return in 2015 looking 40 years younger than she usually would be.

The Star Child

Evelyn, her husband Bill, and their former teammate Dirk Nebula were abducted in 2003 by the insane extra-terrestrial calling himself the Star Child. He spent months torturing and killing them, only to resurrect them in bodies that were based on how he remembered them when he fought them in 1977 as part of W.A.T.C.H. None of them seem to have aged a day since.

Following this ordeal, Evelyn spent several years in mental institutions and abroad before returning to Paragon City.

Personality

Evelyn has always been headstrong and unafraid to say what's on her mind. Her brutal honesty has been the cause of a few awkward moments in her career, but it has also made her a faithful and loyal friend.

The Star Child made her a 40 years old in a forever 16 years old body. It also altered her brain's speech centers, causing her to speak in broken English unless she intensely concentrated on what she was saying.

She has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and anxiety disorders and is followed by a psychiatrist.

Abilities and Equipment

She is a self-taught archery expert with the traditional Chinese longbow and possesses above-average acrobatic skills.

Despite her youthful looks, she is a 20-years veteran crime-fighter.

Her weapon of choice is the Chinese longbow which she says has been in her family for five generations.

Miss Yu II

History

Cindy Moon is a "skip-generation" legacy hero. She is the daughter of Lily Harris and Johnny Moon, a small-time crook (both deceased), and unknown to her until recently, the granddaughter of Evelyn Yu and Will Mitchell, former heroes of Paragon City.

When Cindy's mother, Lily, was born, her parents (Evelyn Yu, aka Miss Yu and Bill Mitchell, aka Cooperstown) were told she had died at birth. The newborn baby was then sold to a New Pittsburgh couple, Morgan and Sienna Harris, who raised her as their own. Until the Harrises' passing, neither Lily nor Cindy knew they were related to the Mitchells.

Johnny Moon disappeared shortly after Cindy's birth, leaving her to be raised solely by her mother. Because her mother was frail and often sick, Cindy spent most of her free time from school caring for her.

When her mother passed away, the Mitchells took Cindy to live with them in Paragon City.

Personality

Cindy Moon is a headstrong and resourceful young woman, having had to take care of her ailing mother from an early age.

She was a loner at school, not having many friends. She can be blunt and direct to a fault in her interactions with others, but she also values honesty above all else.

Abilities and Equipment

Mrs. Yu taught her granddaughter how to shoot a bow to get the young girl out of her shell. She even bestowed her the Chinese longbow that had been in her family for generations.

She is a fair gymnast with 20/20 eyesight, both qualities being a plus in her chosen occupation.
