Background

As a child, Ollie Vincent was saved from a snake bite by the paramedics when his friends dared him to poke an ensnared viper with a stick. Growing up, Ollie discovered his passion and knack for chemistry. He pursued a biochemistry degree to better understand the same venoms and poisons and hopefully one day devise a method to prevent any similar cases in children.

Ollie graduated from the Founder's Fall university with an impressive thesis on snake venoms and he was approached by a Crey Biotech recruiter with a research technician position to work on projects pertaining to poisons and toxins.

Naturally, he accepted - Crey would have had veterans to learn from and also resources for him to explore his dream of developing a universal antidote that can counteract any form of biological or chemical poison.

Several years passed as he climbed the Crey corporate ladder. When he did, the projects he was allocated to seemed to become more and more unethical. From deriving a water-soluble addictive from neurotoxins to drive the sales of Crey beverages to using anticoagulant from snake venom to accelerate the efficiency of Crey's pharmaceutical drugs without peer research, Ollie was pushed to testing the limits of his morals.

Birth of a Viper

Eventually, Ollie would be cornered and trapped like the viper from his past. The Crey Biotech executives wanted him to create a potent neurotoxin that would neutralize biological targets. This was the line that snapped him out of his corporate routine - whatever happened to trying to save people from poisoning? He refused the project.

The next few weeks seemed normal. Then one day, Ollie was back in his lab when it suddenly exploded with the chemicals and toxins he was working on. Ollie survived. He found himself changed with a new physique - he no longer was the lanky research nerd, he was stronger and able to free himself from the wreckage. Not only that, he discovered the ability to regurgitate a spray of viper venom, he same hemotoxin he was working on for his previous projects. Ollie suspected that the executives were behind the explosion.

Storming into the meeting room, his hunch was proven correct from the surprised expressions on their faces. Rage overcame his logic and he murdered them, some using brute force and the rest from venom overdose. He knew that newer executives would replaced the deceased and Crey would continue on profiting. Thus, the Monarch Viper was born, to rip out the Crey blight from the Earth.

Powers and Abilities

Poison Replication and Immunity
The lab explosion and exposure to the myriad of poisons mutated Ollie's thyroid glands and lymphatic system. His altered thyroid glands are now able to mimic any poisons and toxins that have been ingested or injected into his body. Ollie can then expunge the created poison in a manner of his choice: as a projectile or even simply emitting it into the environment.

The initial introduction of poisons jumpstarted the mutation of his lymphatic system in which it generated the right composition of anti-toxins for Ollie to survive. Now the system instantly generates the correct anti-toxin to counteract any poisons in his body, rendering Ollie to be immune to any poisons that he comes across.

Enhanced Physiology
Ollie also possesses enhanced strength, durability and reflexes after the chemical explosion. While not at all near superhuman levels, he is able to compete with most street-level foes.

Equipment and Weaponry

Combat Suit
Ollie wears a combat suit of his own design. The suit's main function is to weaponize and manipulate his ability to generate poison; the 3 canisters are attached to his back via vacuum tubes that funnel any toxins/poisons he secretes as "fuel" for later use. The right gauntlet has a nozzle that ejects the poison as a mist upon his unfortunate targets.

The suit is made of a synthetic kevlar-like material that is resistant to blunt trauma and bullets while being porous enough for Ollie to constantly emit toxic fumes around his vicinity.

Dual Pistols
His pair of 9mm pistols uses modified ammunitions that deliver a potent payload of neurotoxins into his targets causing immediate weakness, subsequent shots cause muscle deactivation and finally death by asphyxiation.

Explosives and Traps
Within his belt holster are a variety of thrown explosives and charges that release gases when triggered. The majority of his explosive arsenal are choking and vomiting agents along with a few corrosive and hallucinogenic explosives.
