Residing at the Daybreak Initiative base

Adriwyn is a native of the ancient kingdom of Mercia, and still mostly thinks in the language of that place and time. She remembers Offa as the king before the time she chased some friends "between the stones" and spent a longer time than she can count up in a place where things were "not like home", where the light never came from the sun. Her public information (on file with the FBSA) says that she has powers of magical origin, and lists her age as "physically 20-ish, and significantly over 1000". Her place of residence was updated in early 2019 to be the Paragon City School for Gifted Youngsters, which is a hero-training academy built up out of property acquisition on the eastern edge of Kings Row. It was then updated again in mid-2020 to be with the Daybreak Initiative.

Publicly Available Information

(The basics of her FBSA registration are, of course, public, though the public portion is sparse. Otherwise, most of what's known about her comes from the supers-related gossip columns.)

Gossip Column Excerpt

Adriwyn is often seen dancing and chatting in that infamous club, the Pocket D. Sometimes she's been rather scandalously under-dressed, especially when on the arm of another woman. Other times, she's in reinforced motorcycle leathers or the like. She often has trouble holding a conversation with people, either for not fully speaking English, or because she just doesn't get the cultural and/or technological references. She's been known to simply vanish from view when she gets too frustrated with a conversation. Of late, her English has dramatically improved, though she still disappears when she gets frustrated with conversations she "doesn't get."

Deeper Background

(Special access or other information sources would be required to know this data.)

Age

Her official ID lists her as being 24 (with a birthday of 26 June), since there's no point in listing an accurate age in a case like hers. The best anyone's been able to come up with for when she was born is the year 746 CE, in a village which no longer has even archaeological evidence, probably near Chester.

She was discovered suddenly appearing in Hoole Bank, and creating rather a disturbance on the motorway. She trounced several officers, and special troops were called in to subdue the super-powered woman who did not respond to any calls for surrender, even after several (modern) languages were tried. They eventually realised, of course, that she hadn't understood them because she only spoke much older tongues, and found that the psionic portion of her powers allowed them to force-feed her some knowledge of modern English. This didn't do her mind any favours, and she never got proper rehabilitation thanks to budgetary issues. The unit that dealt with her had not been authorised to invade her mind that way in the first place, and managed by some under-handed arrangement to wash their hands of her by means of Etoile. She has since made her own way to Paragon City, probably with help. It's not clear how legal that emigration was, but then, neither was her transport from the UK. No one's found reason to deport her, and she's been assisting in the City since taking up residence there, as well as somehow finding her way to that odd school that helped her start to assimilate better into the modern world, and thence to the Daybreak Initiative.

Pre-History

She always played off by herself, to the vexation of her family, and had odd friends. She was about fourteen when she finally chased them to their home one evening, and got lost "between the stones" (in Faerie). Her time on their realm changed her, and is the source of her powers, and somewhere along the line it altered her previously-normal blue eyes into the almost cat-like sort she has now.

Her time with the Fae has given her some very odd notions of authority and how to react to it, as well as what sorts she recognises. Fortunately, she has been learning about the human world of today, and is well-guided by friends to whom she is quite loyal.
