"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, the Pro Wrestling Arena world champion, hailing from the land of the gods! With a body carved from pure marble, Ooooolymmmmpus!"

Born in Arkansas in 1949, Brock Hensburg grew up on his parents farm in Mercersville. Life and weekly chores on the farm helped him bulk up as a teen and he began wrestling his sophomore year in high school. Brock recorded a 122–5 overall win–loss record in his high school career and was a two-time Arkansas state high school heavyweight wrestling champion. He then attended Lawrence Community College and became a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) track and field champion in the 100 meters as well as a NJCAA collegiate wrestling champion. He then transferred to the University of Iowa on a wrestling scholarship for his junior and senior years of college, where he achieved a 36–0 overall win–loss record. After graduation, he served as an assistant wrestling coach at his alma mater until he caught the eye of a professional wrestling scout.

That’s the story anyway. The truth, however, is that Brock Hensberg never existed. The man known as Brock Hensberg really isn’t a man at all. Not in the traditional sense. He is actually a golem, created centuries ago by the Greek god Zeus. Chiseled out of a piece of rock from Mount Olympus and given life, the golem was meant to act as Zeus’ emissary and warrior on Earth. And for centuries, he did. He carried out Zeus’ affairs, defeating his enemies and protecting his consorts, but eventually… he just didn’t want to anymore. Having lived among the humans for many lifetimes, experiencing their trials and tribulations, the golem grew tired of the gods’ endless manipulation of mortals. He denounced the gods and refused to perform any more of their labors. Luckily for him, he went unpunished as the gods were forced to turn their attention to more important matters. With the rise of western civilization and the slow death of paganism, their power was dwindling.

The immortal golem traveled the world for centuries, experiencing the whole of human history, from the Middle Ages, to the Italian renaissance, all the way through the Industrial Age. He found blending in with mortals a much better route to take after he spent a century imprisoned in a cave after revealing his true nature. Still, he tripped up from time to time. Which is what led to him becoming Brock Hensberg.

When a professional wrestling promoter offered him a job, the golem made the mistake of telling him his actual life story. Instead of taking him seriously, the promoter thought he was pitching him a gimmick for his wrestling persona. And that’s how Brock Hensberg became the professional wrestler known as Olympus.

Brock enjoyed his time as a wrestler. From the fame to the adoring fans; it reminded him of his times spent in the ancient gladiatorial arenas. But he still felt as if he were just passing time. The rise of superpowered individuals changed everything, however. Brock no longer had to hide his true nature. Whether or not anyone bought his story about his creation or all the lives he lived was irrelevant. He was big and strong and that’s all people really needed to know. So, after a lengthy run as Pro Wrestling Arena’s undisputed heavyweight champion, Brock left his wrestling boots in the ring. Then he put on his superhero ones.
