HISTORY

Before becoming Bladewraith, Kyle Blackthorn lived a life filled with danger and uncertainty as a seasoned bodyguard for hire. Growing up in the tough streets of the city, Kyle learned early on the value of strength, resilience, and protecting those in need. His expertise in hand-to-hand combat, tactical awareness, and unwavering dedication to his clients made him one of the most sought-after bodyguards in the city. Despite his success, Kyle's life was marked by a constant search for purpose and meaning beyond the paycheck. He often found himself questioning the morality of his work, wondering if there was more to life than just surviving from one assignment to the next.

Everything changed one fateful night when Kyle was hired to protect some scientist from Portal Corp at some kind of dig site. Apparently the night before a meteor crashed near the area and was producing some strange signals, and the scientist had contained what was left within a portable lab. That night as most of the scientist slept , Kyle decided he just wanted to take a small peak at what all the excitement was about. When he entered the containment room all he saw was a baseball sized rock, in Kyle's mind he wondered if the scientist were all overreacting over a damn rock. As Kyle turned to leave the room the strange rock started to glow, intrigued by the strange rock Kyle approached it cautiously, the glow becoming brighter as he got closer. As he touched the pulsating rock, he was engulfed by a blinding light and a surge of unearthly energy, the force of the energy sent Kyle flying backwards and causing him to go unconscious.

When Kyle regained consciousness he found himself inside the medbay, after the he was cleared by medical Kyle was sent home with pay due to the situation. That night Kyle laid down to rest but suddenly his sleep was interrupted by a strange voice. "Human you have been chosen to bond with us, together we shall rule the battlefield against all other warriors!" Initially Kyle was in shock and thought he was going crazy, but as it turned out, that rock was only a transportation conduit for a symbiotic entity named Blades, his species the Zilgaxxians, travel the universe bonding with suitable hosts all for the thrill of battle. After wrapping his head around the situation at hand, Kyle accepted this bonding with the exception of some ground rules: His body will only be used to battle the bad guys and even then their will be no killing unless it is the only option. The entity known as Blades reluctantly agreed to these rules and the two took on the name Bladewraith.

Embracing his new identity, Kyle and Blades dedicated themselves to using this newfound partnership to protect the city from all forms of threats from street level thugs to crazed magical cults. As Bladewraith, Kyle faced numerous challenges, both physical and psychological. He grappled with the symbiote's influence on his psyche, struggling to maintain his humanity while wielding its power. Despite the trials, Kyle found a sense of purpose and fulfillment in his role as the city's protector.

Driven by a desire to uncover the truth behind the symbiotic entity, Bladewraith delved deeper into the mysteries surrounding his powers. Along the way, he forged new alliances with fellow heroes, faced formidable adversaries, and ultimately discovered that his transformation was part of a larger cosmic plan. Throughout his journey, Kyle Blackthorn learned valuable lessons about sacrifice, redemption, and the true meaning of heroism. As Bladewraith, he continues to stand as a beacon of hope in the city, a guardian against the forces of darkness, and a agent of justice for all who call it home.
