Mark Sanford and Plerion's psyches are fully merged in Silver Twilight with neither vying for control nor asserting dominance over the other. He has no preference to his name, responding as easily to his Human or Kheldian ones or his Peacebringer moniker. A relative infant by Kheldian lifespan standards, Plerion had previously never bonded with a host. As such, Silver Twilight has no Mefnamin or Kurukt forms and can only alter between Human and Kheldian. He didn't expect a metallic mane but is resolutely committed to righting wrongs with his "azure flame".

HISTORY

Mark Sanford was born and raised in the coastal town of Kingsport, Massachusetts. He attended Salem State and moved to Paragon City, Rhode Island, after graduation. He freelanced for and was eventually hired full-time by the Paragon Times newspaper, covering capes and other sensational stories. He was one source away from exposing a Council plot but the shadowy brain trust did their best to ensure he didn't: they ambushed him as he waited for his contact and left him for dead in a dark corner of Independence Port. Equally intrigued by the Council due to their alliance with the Nictus, a nearby Kheldian called Plerion sensed a kindred soul—a fierce determination for the pursuit of truth—in the dying human before it.

Without hesitation, the two merged to form the hero known as Silver Twilight.

Perhaps a little too zealous in his quest for scoops, Silver Twilight began abusing his Kheldian powers while on the clock. He resorted to the underhand tactic of morphing into light form to render himself invisible to Human eyes in order to spy on his quarries. After the murder of a Crey Industries scientist, a source named Two-Toes informed him that the Outcasts were responsible for the deed and could be apprehended at Independence Port. Showing up with the intention of unmasking the perpetrators, Silver Twilight employed the same stratagem but wound up in the middle of a misunderstanding fight between various heroes who had showed up for unrelated reasons. A sane man would have left well enough alone: Silver Twilight chose to follow the heroes. He was fully prepared to remain invisible throughout their fight with some unknown army aboard a direlict cargo ship but leapt to action when a fatal blow was about to be dealt. His intervention surely saved the hero but his sudden appearance stunned everyone present. Neither side remained phased for too long, however, and before he knew it he was following the rag-tag team of heroes, using his powers offensively for the very first time.

What they uncovered threatened Paragon City and could spark a war with aquatic kingdoms, but the heroes prevented a would-be catastrophe. Sadly, they were unable to uncover the identity of terrorist leader as their captive was dispatched before he could reveal his master. With a victory under their belt and a greater mystery at hand, one of the heroes suggested the group remain in contact should new information arise. Besides, they had worked well together and could likely do so again. Silver Twilight voiced some reservations given his lack of experience in the field but accepted a communicator all the same. What his future holds, only time will tell.

BASE OF OPERATIONS

Dupont Tower

The Dupont Tower is a heritage skyscraper located in the northeastern section of the Steel Canyon neighborhood in Paragon City, RI. Given its age, the apartments are spacious but were constructed under liberal fire safety codes.

The residential complex was once the site of a turf war between the 5th Column and the Council that caused the building to collapse, resulting in multiple casualties. This prompted the intervention of the Menders of Ouroboros who altered the timeline to ensure the tower remained standing in accordance to the proper flow of time. In the wake of the fighting, the owners undertook a thorough retrofit.

POWERS AND ABILITIES

Inherent

Kheldians naturally thrive off the energy and essence of their teammates: Peacebringers' metamorphic nature allows them to bring balance to their allies. Kheldians are also naturally gifted with the power of flight.

Luminous Blast

Masters of light, energy and matter, Peacebringers can manipulate Kheldian Light Energy to devastate their opponents. Their luminous blasts bombard their foes with awesome power that often knock down foes and can easily reduce a target's defenses.

Luminous Aura

Peacebringers can generate a luminous aura to grant themselves incredible defensive capabilities.
