Quantum Wave (born Lauren Cromwell) is a Super Heroine and Physics Professor. She teaches Physics 101 at UPC-Steel Canyon. Her father is a tenured professor in Theology at PCU and her mother is a puritanical busy body. Her older brother, and only family member she'll admit to, is a high school History teacher in Perez Park.
Personal History
Her childhood was white suburban vanilla cupcake under the roof of parents that hope for a return to the 1950s. She was overjoyed when she was accepted to college out of State, making excuses for short visits home on the holidays. While working on her Doctoral Degree she was one of three survivors in a lab accident with a reckless researcher. Framed for the negligence of the tenured jackass, she has been blacklisted for grants and relegated to teaching physics for freshman and jocks that just need those science credits to graduate. The result of that vexing "accident" gave Lauren the ability to manifest and control several forms of radiation. When not teaching, she spends her time perfecting her beam rifle and shooting it at villains.
Powers
Her costume is a lightweight, effective armor that works with her personal radiation to protect her and repair damage. Her beam rifle is tailored to convert her ambient radiation into several powerful lasers.
