A Shooting Star
It had been eons since Helios last rode his four-horse chariot around the Earth. The death of his son, Phaethon, wore heavy on his heart and his grief led to embarrassment among the other Olympians. His duties as the herald of daylight had long been revoked. Even the Colossus of Rhodes, a statue built in his honor, was destroyed by earthquakes caused by lesser gods. His status as God of the Sun had been usurped by one of Zeus’s children, and his travels had been limited to his one remaining horse, Aeos. He was once the light of the sun itself, and now, he was little more than a shooting star across the night sky.
It was not until he had heard the stories of Prometheus and the Freedom Phalanx that he had once again found purpose. Humanity had taken leaps and bounds in their evolution, and Prometheus had a hand in the growth of a select few. Sure, it was an unorthodox path, having statues built for him in the Island of Rhodes to crafting his own human in Rhode Island…but all he needed was one pure soul, one herald to carry the light that he no longer could.
A Wish Granted

Born in Kings Row, Adam Espinosa was the youngest of seven children. Of the seven, Adam was the weakest and the slowest, and while he wasn’t the least intelligent, he wasn’t a genius either. While his siblings were off making friends and playing sports, Adam often stayed home reading comics and manga. Every day on the news, he would see the heroic feats of Statesman, the Freedom Phalanx, and all the other heroes who risked their lives to defend Paragon. He longed for strength like theirs. One night, during a meteor shower, Adam closed his eyes and wished that he too could be like the heroes he idolized. The next morning, his wish had been granted.
Abilities and Weaknesses
The Starlight Soldier can absorb and manipulate various types of energy. His main power source comes from the Sun, but he can absorb/manipulate/project electrical energy, heat, light, caloric, and occasionally, kinetic projectiles. He can boost his strength to superhuman levels but is subject to an energy crash if he is unable to absorb energy faster than he uses it. He can make himself look nearly invisible with the manipulation of heat and light waves but cannot use his other abilities at the same time.
He is extremely vulnerable to psychic influences without outside help. He is also vulnerable to specific types of magic, especially those controlling cold or darkness. If he is put in a cold, dark area he gradually weakens to the point of nearly dying.
